Sushma Swaraj is an Indian politician born in February 14, 1952 in Ambala Cantt, Haryana, India. She belongs to the Bharatiya
Janata political party and is the second women of India to be the
External Affairs Minister after Indira Gandhi. She has served as the cabinet minister of Haryana and also the
Chief Minister of Delhi. She completed her education from Sanatan
Dharma College, Ambala Cantonment (Kurukshetra University) and completed bachelors degree in Sanskrit and Political Science. She completed her degree in Law from Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. From year 1973 she worked as an advocate in
Supreme Court of India. She was the winner of the best Hindi Speaker award for the three consecutive years at a state level competition held by the Language Department of Haryana. She started her political career in the year 1970 with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and later joined the
Janata Party movement. Sushma Swaraj has also served as an Education Minister in Haryana and was also the state president of Janata Party, Haryana in the year 1979. She became the Minister of External Affairs in Union Cabinet on May 26, 2014 and was the Member of Parliament seven times and Member of
Legislative Assembly three times.
