Joseph Stalin was the de Facto leader of the Soviet Union. He was General Secretary of the
Central Committee of the Communist party of the Soviet Union. He was born on 18 December 1878 in Georgia, Russia and he died on 5 March 1953. He was also known as Losif Vissarionovich Stalin. He married to Ekaterina Svanidze in 1906 to 1907 and he married again to Nadezhda Alliluyaeva in 1919. He has three children. He took part in Russian Revolution in 1917. In 1922 he was appointed General Secretary of the party’s Central Committee.
