Green Road is a public secondary school which is situated in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The School was established in the year 1964.
Smk Green Road is originally named as Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Green Road. Putit Bin Haji Ped is the principle of the school. 'May we
Grow as one' is the motto of the school. Later, the name of the school was modified to 'James Brooke
Malay School'. That school was shifted to a new website in
Jalan P Ramlee, in 1930, and relabeled 'Madrasah Melayu Sarawak. Due to the improving number of learners, Green Road Government Secondary School (the phrase 'government' was generally remaining out in the name, hence the acronynm GRSS) was designed at Green Road. It began in 1963 with its learners composed mainly of those from 'Madrasah Melayu'. It was formally started on June 10, 1965 by Abdul Aziz.
