Marry McAleese was born on 27th June 1951 at Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was the eighth president of Ireland who serves the country from 1997 to 2011. She has completed her graduation in Law from Queen’s University Belfast. In the year 1975, she was selected as the professor of Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology at the
Trinity College in Dublin. She has also been a barrister and also worked as a journalist along with RTE. McAleese used to utilize her time in the office by solving the issues regarding justice, anti-sectarianism, social-equality, reconciliation and social inclusion. She has been honoured with several awards and recognitions like “The American Ireland Fund Humanitarian Award".
