The British Residency is a group a number of buildings in a common precinct also referred as the Residency Complex and the Residency. The residency was designed during the concept of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan II,who was the fifth Nawab of the region of Awadh and constructed between 1780 to 1800 AD. It is located in the the center of the
Lucknow city in the area of other typical monuments such as Tehri Kothi,
High Court Building and haheed Smarak. The British Residency was served as the British Resident General's residence, who was an associate in a legal court of the Nawab.
