Suresh Kalmadi is an Indian Politician born on May 1, 1944 in Madras, India. He is also a senior sports administrator and former member of Indian National Congress. Suresh Kalmadi did his schooling from
St. Vincents High School, Pune, Maharashtra, India and later at Fergusson College, Pune. He joined the
National Defence Academy in year 1964 and later from year 1964-1972 served the Indian Air Force. From year 1978-1980, he was the president of
Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress and for three terms he was the member of Rajya Sabha. From year 1995-1996 he was the minister of state for Railways. For the
Commonwealth games held in Delhi in October 2010, Suresh Kalmadi was the president of the Indian
Olympic Association and
Chairman of the organizing Committee.
