Palm Springs, California, United States. The statue was designed by the Seward
Johnson and was inaugurated in July, 2011. The Forever Marilyn is the representative of one of the well-known images of the Marilyn Monroe taken from the movie The Seven Year Itch released in year 1955. The statue is a super-sized 26-foot-tall and 34,000 pound sculpture made of painted stainless steel and aluminum. It was originally built in
New Jersey and was then moved to the Pioneer Court, Chicago. The statue was moved to the Palm Springs in May, 2012.
