Jane Marple also known as Miss Marple is a fictional character that appears in twelve crime novels and twenty short stories of
Agatha Christie. Miss Marple acts as an amateur detective who lives in village of St.
Mary Mead. She is one of the popular characters of Christie and has been portrayed various times on the screen. The first appearance of the Miss Marple was in year 1926 in a short story published by in The Sketch Magazine.
