Thomas is an Indian politician. He was born on May 10, 1946 in Kumbalangi, Kochi, Kerala, India and is formally known as K.V. Thomas. He is a member of Indian Parliament and member of All India
Congress Committee. He belongs to the Indian National
Congress Party and represents Ernakulam parliamentary constituency. In the Government of Kerala, between year 2001-2004 he served as the member of Excise and Tourism and Minister for Tourism and Fisheries. From year 1984-1996, he was a member of
Lok Sabha. K.V. Thomas has done masters in Chemistry and also served as a professor of Chemistry at
Sacred Heart College, Kochi,
Kerala for a period of thirty three years. From June 1, 1999 to May 31, 2001 he was the Head of the Department of Chemistry. He is also the author of several books.
