Joseph H. Ladd School which was named after the Dr. Joseph H. Ladd who worked as an assistant to the superintendent in
Massachusetts School for Idiotic and Feebleminded Youth in Waltham. In the year 1916 the institute's name was changed to the
Exeter School. The school closed
