The Hamilton Tiger-Cats in November 2012 declared that they had achieved a memorandum of understanding with the University of Guelph to use Alumni Stadium as their short-term home in 2013. The stadium experienced a short-term expansion to provide the CFL group, with sitting for 13,000 viewers.
