Dr. Abdul Sattar Edhi is a Pakistani social activist and humanitarian. He was born on January 1, 1928 in Bantva, British India. He is the founder of Edhi Foundation. Edhi Foundation is a non-profit social welfare organization in Pakistan. He has been honored with Lenin Peace Prize, Nishan-e-Imtiaz, Ramon Magsaysay Award and Balzan Prize. Dr. Abdul Sattar Edhi was also honored with Doctorate of social service management by Institute of Business Administration Pakistan and University of Bedfordshire.
