Albert John "Alby" Schultz is an Australian politician who was a meat processing worker prior to entering politics. He was born on 29 May 1945 in Melbourne, Victoria. Alby Schultz served as the Member of the Australian Parliament for Hume, holding office from 3 October 1998 to 5 August 2013. He has also been Member of the NSW Parliament for Burrinjuck from 19 March 1988 to 1 September 1998. Alby Schultz was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013 and within a gap of 2 months he was diagnosed with inoperable liver and esophageal cancer in May 2013.
