Alessandro "Alex" Zanardi is a racing driver of Italy. He was born on 23 October 1966 in Bologna, Italy. Alex Zanardi made his debut in Formula One in 1991. He has participated in many racing championships which include World Touring Car Championship, F3000 International, CART FedEx Championship Series, ETCC and Italian Superturismo. Alex Zanardi lost his legs in a car crash in 2001. He is also a paracyclist and has won two gold medals in 2012 London Summer Paralympics. Alex Zanardi can be followed on twitter at @lxznr.
