Andy Goldsworthy is a British photographer, sculptor as well as an environmentalist specializing in producing site-specific sculpture and land art located in natural and urban settings. He was born on 26 July 1956 Cheshire, England and lives in Scotland. Andy Goldsworthy has received many awards and felicitations including Scottish Arts Council Award in 1987, Yorkshire Arts Award in 1980, honorary degree from the University of Bradford in 1993 and Order of the British Empire in 2000. Andy Goldsworthy is an alumnus of Bradford College of Art and Preston Polytechnic (University of Central Lancashire).
