Ang Lee is a Taiwanese-born academy winning American film director, screenwriter as well as producer. He was born on October 23, 1954 in Chaochou, Pingtung, Taiwan. Ang Lee is an alumnus of National Taiwan College of Arts, University of Illinois and New York University. Pushing hands is the first movie directed by him in 1992. Some other movies in which Ang Lee has been involved in one or more ways include The Wedding Banquet, Eat Drink Man Woman, The Ice Storm and Life of Pi.
