Ann Noreen Widdecombe is an English Politician. She was born on 4 October 1947 in Bath, Somerset, England. Throughout her long political career Ann Widdecombe has served as Member of Parliament for Maidstone and The Weald Maidstone (1987–1997), Minister of State for Prisons (1995-1997), Shadow Home Secretary (1999-2001) etc. Prior to entering politics Ann Widdecombe worked as an administrator at the University of London for more than 10 years. Ann Widdecombe has also authored several books viz. Inspired and Outspoken (1999), An Act of Treachery (2002), An Act of Peace (2005) etc.
