The Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) was an Australian federal agency. It was responsible for enforcing Australian quarantine laws and was a part of Department of Agriculture. The laws were enforced by specialized officers known as Quarantine Officers. However AQIS was dissolved in 2012.
