Will Allen is an American retired basketball player. He is also an urban farmer based in Milwaukee. Will Allen was born on February 8, 1949 in Rockville, Maryland, United States. He is the owner of Growing Power, an urban agriculture organization, and serves as its Director and CEO. Will Allen began his basketball career with Miami Hurricanes. He received an Honorary Ph.D. in Agriculture from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Will Allen has been honored with 2008 MacArthur Fellowship and Genius Award.
