Michael Peter Balzary is an American musician and actor of Australian decent. He was born on October 16, 1962 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and is popularly known as Flea. Michael Balzary is widely known as the co-founding member and bassist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He started his musical career in 1977 and has been associated with many bands such as What Is This?, Atoms For Peace and Fear. Michael Balzary was inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. He has also appeared in many movies such as Suburbia (1983), Dudes (1987) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
