Peter William Atkins is an English druggist and former Professor at the University of Oxford. He was born on 10 August 1940 in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England. Peter Atkins also writes chemistry textbooks on Inorganic Chemistry, Molecular Quantum Mechanics etc. Peter Atkins holds a PhD for research into electron spin resonance spectroscopy and other aspects of theoretical chemistry and an honorary doctorates from the University of Utrecht.
