Javed Akhtar is a famous Indian poet, lyricist and scriptwriter. He was born on 17 January 1945 in Khairabad, Sitapur, Uttar Pardesh. Javed Akhtar is the son of a famous Indian Urdu poet and film lyricist Jan Nisar Akhtar and Safia Akhtar. He has been awarded National Award for Best Lyricist many times. Javed Akhtar has also won other awards for his activism including Avadh Ratna from Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2000. and National Integration Award from Mewar Foundation in 2001.
