Adhi College of Engineering and Technology - ACET Kancheepuram was established in the Year 2008-2009 in the fond memory of Thiru. MUNU ADHI, former speaker of Tamilnadu State Assembly and founder, CHANDRA MUNU ADHI Educational Trust, which is a non-profitable, non-minority Educational institution. Late Thiru. Munu Adhi was closely associated with several educational initiatives in the Tambaram region of Chennai. Thiru. Munu Adhi served as MLA for four successive terms.

Adhi College of Engineering and Technology - ACET Kancheepuram buildings are architecturally designed with 14 acres area as per AICTE norms. Imbibed with the message of his father, "Education has to reach the un-reach" our Chairman ventured into the realm of providing quality technical education to both urban and rural students from Tamilnadu as well as other states. Our Chairman is a visionary and he has to his credit various other enterprises such as Industries, educational Institution etc.

A library is the heart of an academic institution. Adhi College of Engineering and Technology - ACET Kancheepuram encourages all students and staff members to make best use of the library that has been carefully built up. The library is housed in a spacious are of 3000 sq.ft with reference section, magazine section and Stack Area. Presently there are more than 6000 volumes stacked for the benefit of staff and students. The campus canteen provides hygienic food and refreshment items. Canteen is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on all days. A wide variety of food menu are available. Keeping a receptive mind the canteen commit periodical updates and changes the menu to suit the taste of students enrolled from Tamilnadu, Andhra, Kerala, Gujarat & other northern regions.
Adhi College of Engineering and Technology - ACET Kancheepuram offers road transport facilities from all parts of the city catering students to reach college in time with a nominal Bus fee. Regular modern bus facilities are also available in the Tambaram Wallajabad route. The Chandra Munu Adhi Trust is in the process of making a special Passenger halt facility in the Sankarapuram village to enable both college student and common public. Buses are also planned for Kancheepuram and Chengalpet region in the ensuring days.

At Adhi College of Engineering and Technology - ACET Kancheepuram, we recognize that a major concern to all students and parents is the availability and quality of the accommodation and food on campus. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided. The college provides the students excellent facilities. The hostels are housed within the campus in two separate blocks each built over a 10,000 sq.ft. Each room is furnished with cots, study tables and storage space. Facilities are provided for recreation and extracurricular activities.
The spacious and well-ventilated classrooms provide the most favorable atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. The classroom sessions will be interactive and will encourage the students to think independently and inspire their creativity. The faculty will ensure that the students in the class have assimilated the content projected. The class rooms are equipped with LCD-projectors and OHP facilities for effective teaching.
