I purchased a three plate stove from New Holmes furniture's in PMB in December and it worked fine till three weeks ago the oven stopped working and the guys from the furniture shop were contacted and the guy from Defy came had a look at it and said it was the oven switch up till today he is either awaiting the spares .I am still awaiting help or assistance. My wife has only used the oven twice and the switch is faulty and the oven is not working, we support Defy by purchasing products expected to be of the highest quality yet we are sad at the product and the service. We purchased a Grundig under counter oven in October 2016. More than a month ago it was noted that the oven would not switch on. We registered a repair request and a technician came to the house and said he would get back to us as soon as he has the spares in hand. We have contacted the service center in Montague Gardens and promised that we would be contacted as soon as the spares arrive from Durban. That was three weeks ago, still no response and with follow up call we never get the promised feedback. Even lodged a complaint via the web site on Friday Morning and still no reply from Defy. I am Mgweba Duduzile I bought a Defy fridge at Bradlows promenade cape town on the 14th of JUNE 2017. The fridge on the 3rd of September was not working. I went to bradlows I told them then they said Defy will send someone to come to my house to fix the fridge. On sartuday the 9th of March I got a call from a number that was not on my cell phone. The person who was calling me he did not introduce himself to and told me why he was calling me, but he was shouting me because bradlows gave him wrong address. I bought airtime and called him and I gave him the correct directions. WE met at my house and he said he will call me. I am not happy with representrative of Defy at all. I am hurt. I thought Defy will send someone who will be professional enough to introduce himself when he is making phone call and when he is entering a house of a customer.

I herby wish to lodge a complaint with regards to our double door Defy fridge - freezer. The back panel of the fridge has many corrosive (rust) spots which developed over the past few years. This is very bad workmanship as I never came across a fridge with a problem like this. If only your experts can please advise me how to remove the rust spots. Photo's on request. 082 442 3182.
I am very disappointed in Defy. We bought a Defy front loader washing machine about a month ago and received a card for a "guaranteed getaway". We have smsed the necessary and followed the prompts. We received an SMS with a telephone number to call. It took me three days to get through to them just to be told that they have no idea what I am talking about and should follow the prompts which I did. Until this day we have not received a word and came to the conclusion that this must be a sales gimmick in order to sell washing machines.

I have a Defy refridgerator Model C310 BD which is three years old. I have noticed that since yesterday evening the racks are not holding on to the rails. The racks are suddenly too small for the fridge. They are just falling off as though the fridge has expanded somehow. Please advise as I think that your call out fee is way too high. Kind Regards

I bought a Defy fridge at Hifi Corporation Amanzimtoti. They delivered it and when we opened the box and connected it, it didn't work at all. My complaint is that HiFi Corporation Amanzimtoti never answered the phone for me to arrange a Defy technician to come and fix the fridge. It's at a holiday resort and people are coming to the resort on Saturday, but the fridge is not working. It's brand new out of the box. The order number was 1742854 bought on the 20th of June 2016. I sent through a complaint / query about three months ago and have not had a single call or email since. I would like to know if Defy are aware of the problem which I am sure they must be of the "Sticker" on the front of the dishwasher. My wife took ages to remove this sticker and subsequently there is a dulling or change of colour on the front of the machine where the sticker was. When you are paying R 6000. 00 for a new machine, you do not expect to have it looking used / damaged in the first day

After that and a few enquiry emails and phone calls she confirmed the correct door and shelves being part number is 23189D and 17263D respectively and also quoted the price of R659, 98 including VAT. I received a used door It came from Duggs Workshop. Waiting ten months.

I bought a Defy Slimline Oven 600MSU on 25 May 2016. The selector switch blew on the evening of Friday 15 July, and the oven does not switch off, so we have disconnected the power supply. I phoned the Milnerton Service Centre on Monday morning, and I am still waiting for a technician to come and evaluate and fix the problem. This means I have been without an oven and hob for five days and six evenings. I have tried phoning the service centre at 0215263000, and am always told that they are busy, do I want to be called back. Today I said yes, and am still waiting for a call. This is a brand new Defy oven which is obviously still under warranty, yet I have had to be without an oven for six evenings because Defy after-sales service is inefficient. This is not encouraging me to ever buy another Defy appliance. I would like this oven to be fixed or replaced during the course of Thursday 21 July.
I purchased a Defy Oven and Hob Box set from Makro Centurion on 16 July 2016. This was installed yesterday by their Service Provider. It was discovered that the grid on the roasting dish was broken. Please arrange replacement part. Thank you.

The customer service is very bad I called three times just to speak to an agent the first like people have very poor listening skills as they would shut me off to the next agent without hearing anything else that I want to say. The amount of time I had to hold on all calls was ridiculous, I held until the call ended, I do not know if it was the service or them. I'm very unhappy.
Shocking telephone service every time I try to speak to somebody in SPARES at Defy Service Centre Montague Gardens. I was on hold now for 13 minutes, while my call kept recycling through the automated system. No answer at SPARES. The lady who answers to phone said it has nothing to do with her, and she cannot help. This has happened in the past. I am not too angry to even drive all the way there just to find out if they even have what I need. I will never buy Defy again.
I would like to bring to Defy's attention and request that repairs be arranged. We bought a fridge in 2014 from a supplier in Stellenbosch Town. Last winter I complained that the rubber on door was pulling away from from the fridge. A technician came and told me irs normal. This winter, the bottom of the fridge the sides have separated from the bottom. If you believe in better Defy, please resolve the complaint. I await your reply. Please call after 2pm on weekdays.

I bought a new fridge freezer Defy 419 618lt from House and Home on 31st October 2015 Delivery one Nov 2015. After installing I found it was not freezing I phoned and A technician informed that the gas was empty -they replaced-ref 447431 Two weeks later the freezer was again not working They took my fridge -there was a leaking gas pipe-ref no 451 992. By end of November I eventually had my new fridge in working order. 12/04/16 I noticed again it was defrosting. I phone again on 13/04/16-ref 530470- technician came today (15/04/16) and said the fan motor had burned out. Mark from Denver informed me that he will order parts and let me know when it can be fixed. Frankly I cannot afford to have it fixed this often when the guarantee expires and should not have to Please come back to me with a solution other than just you will fix it and I have to wait and loose meat every time the product breaks. By the way where can I claim for all the money I lost with meat defrosting - three times now.
