The vision of “Sher-e-Rajasthan, Lok Nayak Shri Jai Narain Vyas” an Institution with a number of 47 students was established on 2nd Oct., 1987. Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur is now a established name in field of women education. Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya, Jodhpur has been envisioned as an institution of excellence with main focus on building capabilities of the women students with holistic development of their personality. This is to be achieved through comprehensive education and synthesizing in its educational processes professionalism with technological and managerial knowledge in a conducive environment.
Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur imparts education in Arts, Science and Commerce, at both under graduate and post graduate level. Keeping pace with the changing requirements, Mahavidyalaya also runs professional courses like B.B.A., B.C.A. & Plan to initiate MBA, MCA courses.
Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur is situated at Kamla Nehru Nagar,Soorsagar Road, Jodhpur(Raj). The college Library was established with the help given by Dr. G.K.Purohit. Books are available on a variety of subjects. Books are issued to the students. The College has a book bank facility. The Book Bank provides books to students who find difficulty in purchasing them. The students are required to return the Books after the session ends. The students who wish to donate books are also welcome.
Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur Home Lab. caters to the needs of the students it has two separate labs one cooking lab and one laundry lab. The Home Science, department of College has adopted innovative methods for the training of the students. The College has very well established computer lab latest computers’ net excess (for teachers, staff and students) and e-mail faculties, it is connected by broadband to have a faster net excess.
Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur has four units of NSS( National Service Scheme). Through N.S.S. the students learn social responsibilities and come to face the realities of life. The students of the college are involved in various community development activities. The College has won all the three the prestigious State Awards for NSS i.e. Best Institution, Best NSS Officer and Best Volunteer. College students have represented in the National Republic Day Pared at Delhi. Mahila PG Mahavidyalaya – Jodhpur has set up cell for placements in the college. The cell has been active for last four years and every year placement camps have been organized. Students of this college and from other colleges have taken advantage of it.
