Milad E Sherief Memorial College - MSM College Alappuzha was founded in 1964 by the late Al-Haj.P.K.Kunju Sahib, a veteran freedom fighter and ex-minister of Kerala and situated at the heart of Central Travancore. From a humble beginning with 84 students and 9 teachers on the rolls, the college has now developed into a First Grade college with more than 4,000 students and 149 teachers and 80 members of non-teaching staff.
Milad E Sherief Memorial College - MSM College Alappuzha was founded by late Al-Haj P.K.Kunju Sahib as a realisation of his long cherished dream of cultural advancement of the uneducated people of central Travancore. “MSM”, Milad-E-Sherief Memorial is a reminiscent of Milad-E-Sherief, the sacred birth day of the Holy Prophet. A monument to the holy Prophet being a religious taboo to Islam, a monument to the sacred birth day of the Holy Prophet was contemplated.

The library is open to all the members of the college It will remain open between 9.00 a.m. to 4.30.p.m. on all the working days. Books will be issued only on production of borrower’s ticket.
