Surrounded by green mountains in the 44 acres Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar campus is furnished with spacious Class Room, Modern and High Tech Laboratories, Workshop, LRUC Hall, Compute Lab, Communication Lab, Office Complex, Library, Hostel for Boys and Girls. To ensure around development of the students it has a Specious Play ground for Foot Ball, Cricket, Indoor Badminton and Volley Ball Court, Gymnasium, Open Air auditorium. Modernization of the infrastructure has been done with World Bank Assistance for Tech. Education in 1992.
The Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar computer centre imparts training in fundamental computer languages and is also used for application of computing in various engineering activities. The centre is equipped with 92 Pentium-IV, 4 Dot matrix Printer, 1 Laser Printer, 1 Server and 24X7 Broadband connection.
The Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar library has been enriched with text books in various disciplines under the assistance of World Bank Technician projects. Book Bank facilities are available for all students to borrow books for one academic session. This is the only technical institute in the state where rare books on Mining & Drilling disciplines are available. Besides text books a good number of reference books on current advanced topics in electronics, computer, Metallurgy, electrical & Mechanical Engineering branches have been purchased.
Reading room facility is also available for Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar students during evening hours. Current magazines, journals & periodicals are regularly purchased & provided in the reading room to keep the students updated in the day to day advancement in Science & Technology.
Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar has three numbers of hostels with a capacity of 150 seats to accommodate boy’s students of Diploma stream. 30 seats are available for girl students in ladies Hostel. The hostels have all modern amenities & have messing facilities. In the hostel there are so many facilities are being provided by the Orissa School of Mining Engineering – OSME Keonjhar such as Limited hostel seats are available, Hostel seats are available for girl’s students, Selection is done on merit – basis, Hostel fees which includes seat rent, electricity, water charge/water & ward/contingencies etc. are charged for the candidates every year at the time of admission into the hostel, as per rates fixed by the Govt. from time to time and at present Hostel fees @Rs.2500/- (Rupees Two Thousands Five Hundred Only) per annum.
