Sir P T Sarvajanik College of Science – Surat was established in 1935 by Sarvajanik Education Society. Sir P. T. Sarvajanik College of Science, surat Alumni Association has been Recently Constructed. It has Started Functioning with some of Objectives. The Objective is to facilitate to Student, Honour, encourage the Past Students who have Achieved Special Accomplishment in any Fields also who get Better Result in all over University Collleges.
Sir P T Sarvajanik College of Science – Surat is appointed the management to monitor and co-ordinate various aspects of functioning of a particular college. It is consisted of five members of the managing committee, one member of Executive Committee (who is the Chairman of the Committee), the principal, one teacher of the Institution, one member of the non-teaching staff, two members of SES residing in the neighborhood of the college and one of the guardians of the students.
Sir P T Sarvajanik College of Science – Surat is situated at MTB College Campus, Athwalines, Surat-Gujarat.The Prime objective of Sir P T Sarvajanik College of Science – Surat is to make the education of science “Sarvajanik” to create scientific thrust and to make the students explore new horizons of science through research. Besides this our emphasis has always been to help our students to build up their career and character so that they can become an asset to community and nation development.
More importantly the education is aimed to be imparted with low fees, so that it can we easily affordable and accessible to all and remains “Sarvajanik” in true sense. Like any science college, one of our goals is to help our students to acquire sound theoretical and practical knowledge of core science subjects viz Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Botany and Zoology. All the programmes being offered at Sir P T Sarvajanik College of Science – Surat are degree programmes. We have five Bachelor's degree programmes and two master's degree programmes.
The library plays a central role in helping college achieve its mission of providing students a quality education. Beyond its immediate responsibility to provide the information services and resources that support the courses of study offered at the college, the library has the broader mission of fostering in our students the importance and necessity of lifelong learning.
