YDV Deshmukh Arts and commerce College, District Amravati started in the year 1971 and today provides higher education in Arts and Commerce fields. Later 10+2 pattern was also implemented in 1975-76. Currently there are around 1049 students studying in the College at Junior College and Undergraduate Level. The college has also started Economics at Post Graduate Level. There are also career oriented courses that are offered like Financial Management and Auditing and communication skill in English and these courses are approved and are given financial assistance from University Grants Commission.

YDV Deshmukh Arts and commerce College has earned the status of being number one of the leading institutions by providing 10+2 & higher education to the students. The institution is spread across 1 Hector 13 Arc of land next to the four lane National High Way no.6 that runs from Bombay to Calcutta in the heart of Teosa. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The institution is a recognized under 2F-12B of the institution receiving financial grant under plan and non-plan schemes. The playgrounds of volley ball, kabaddi, kho-kho and Basket Ball are well equipped and are well planned.
Laboratories for computer, Home Economics, Language are well prepared for practical and demonstration with modern equipments.
