Kent Ridge Hall (KR) is a hostel of the National University of
Singapore (NUS), and is one of the six largest residential halls of Singapore. The hall is situated in Heng Mui Keng Terrace of the Pasir Panjang region. It is also located only minutes away from the School of Business and the
Faculty of Arts and Social Science. It was originally built as King Edward Hall on December 5, 1981 by Devan Nair, a President of Singapore and Chancellor of National
University of Singapore (NUS). Its name had been moved into the
Kent Ridge Hall in the year 1985.
