ASHA (Action, Service and Hope for AIDS) Foundation is a charitable and voluntary Trust helping HIV/AIDS infected people, their families and society. It was founded by Dr. Glory Alexander in 1998. ASHA organization aims at creating awareness about HIV/AIDS in the community, provide personalized medical care to patients with HIV/AIDS irrespective of their ability to afford care and treatment, provide both voluntary and anonymous HIV testing in a non-coercive and non-stigmatized environment etc. The projects undertaken by ASHA include HIV/AIDS Counseling Services including the AIDS Telephone Helpline, Adolescent Health Education Project - Anmol Ashayein, Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) etc.
