Michael David Apted is a British film director. He was born on 10 February 1941 in Buckinghamshire, England and is also an actor, producer and writer. Michael Apted is popularly known as the director of movies The World Is Not Enough, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and documentary chain Up Series. Michael Apted began his career as a researcher at Granada Television in 1960's. He has been honored with many British Academy Awards and his notable works include Chasing Mavericks, Enigma, Thunderheart and Blink.
