EMEA College of Arts and Science - Malappuram is run by Ernad Muslim Educational Association, which was formed with the objective of establishing a chain of educational institutions and cultural centres to cater to the needs of educationally and culturally backward section of the community. The college is a stepping stone to realize the objectives envisaged by the Association. EMEA College of Arts and Science - Malappuram offers different kind of undergraduate, postgraduate and add on courses.

The institution aims at the over all development of this backward area of Kerala by opening new vistas of opportunities to the future generations, without any discrimination against caste, creed, sex or colour. EMEA College of Arts and Science - Malappuram has a well equipped computer lab. Classes in the lab are offered in various courses to students. The reading room will remain open through out the day from 9AM to 5PM. Important Journals and News Papers are kept in the reading room. Text book library contains standard text books in most subjects. They are loaned to deserving students for a period of one year ending last march or the last day of the university examination. The College has an excellent and state of the art biotechnology laboratory. The College has an excellent and state of the art microbiology laboratory.
EMEA College of Arts and Science - Malappuram has a well furnished women’s hostel that can accommodate 120 occupants. The mess and establishment charges in the hostel are shared by the occupants on a no-profit-no-loss basis. The co-operative store is a venture to make available the study materials and other stationary articles at concessional rates to the students. Besides this Xerox and telephone facilities are provided in co-operative store. A canteen is maintained by the college for providing refreshment to the students and staff of the college.
