The annual technical fest of the Netaji Subhash Engineering College – NSEC Kolkata is an integral part of the event calendar of our college. It was first conducted by PHOENIX in 2006, and ever since it has grown in stature and status. Several entertaining and educative events have been inculcated, since the last 3 years, and a new height was achieved when AVENIR went inter-college for the first time this year, in 2009, with prizes worth Rs 1 lakhs being given away. Replete with quizzes, debates, business plans, Sudoku, crosswords, chess and of course the most popular of the lot- Robotics and Gaming, AVENIR promises to get only better with the passage of time.
The annual inter-college quiz is an event of great importance, as it symbolizes the impetus our Netaji Subhash Engineering College – NSEC Kolkata has provided to the quizzing scenario. Sponsored by Indian Oil, it first started in 2007 at the Techno India, Salt Lake Hall. Last year in 2008, it was a massive success with over 80 undergraduate colleges participating from in and around Kolkata, and prizes worth Rs 25000 being given away. It has now become a brand name in the quizzing circles and is eagerly awaited each year by quiz enthusiasts every year. College offers different kind of Bachelor and Master Courses leading to Engineering and Technology stream.
