College of Law and Legal Studies strives to evolve and impart comprehensive legal education and promote research in all branches of law. Looking at the rising number of crimes and their complexity, criminology as a subject of study is gaining importance in today’s society. In addition, fast changes in the approach and mode of investigation of the policing authorities has led to the need for better understanding of the subject, thus opening up growth opportunities for a career in criminology. The subject of criminology being interdisciplinary in nature draws heavily from the fields of Law, psychology and sociology. Since the discipline of law plays a significant role in the field of criminology, the university has decided to offer three years B. Sc. program in criminology in the college from the session 2011-12.
The course curriculum is flexible; credit based and offers numerous fields of specialization. The pedagogy used, will involve classroom teaching, case study, experiential learning through moot court, externship, guest lectures, seminars, workshops and legal camps. Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Law and Legal Studies – Moradabad has excellent infrastructural facilities like well qualified staff, separate law college library, computer lab, conference hall and moot court room.
Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Law and Legal Studies – Moradabad maintains separate library for each of its constituent college to provide access to excellent information services, resources and facilities to students, faculty, researchers and the diverse community to facilitate them to be active and lifelong learners. The library adequately equipped with 2104 books covering wide range of disciplines of academic and non-academic interest. The college also subscribes for international and 7 national journals, periodicals and newspapers for the students and faculty members at the college library. To help faculty to provide research based input to the students and encourage R&D in its colleges, the University has subscribed the EBSCO data base providing access to full text research articles and sector specific reports in different disciplines.

Computer Lab of college is designed to offer students access and exposure to the latest equipment in the field.
