Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering - YCCE Nagpur was founded in the Year 1984 and is situated on the outskirts of the Nagpur city in Wana Dongri. The college is named in the memory of Late Shri Yeshwantrao Chavan, the great patriot, first Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, the past Deputy Prime Minister of India and pragmatic national leader. This institute extends its expertise in engineering and technological requirements to different public and private sector organization in the country.

Expertise is available to the students in the fields of artificial intelligence, information systems, operating systems, anti-viruses, data encryption, Bio Informatics, networking, multi-lingual information systems.
With constant interaction with the industry, the department has taken on projects in database, voice recognition, knowledge based systems, multi lingual data processing, image processing and GIS to name a few. The department aspires to become a major learning center in the areas of Computer Networking, Data warehousing & mining and image processing.
In addition, Language laboratory has been developed by the
Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering - YCCE Nagpur to help in sharpening of communication skills in English outside the classroom. The Lab also offers facilities to learn languages like French and German to the interested students.
Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering - YCCE Nagpur offers 4 years bachelor's degree different courses like Civil, Computer Engg., Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Information Technology, Mechanical Production Engineering, Electronics & Computer Science Engg. Admission to these courses is made through a merit list that is prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in the MHT - CET.
A full time Training and Placement Officer works under the direction of the Dean in the college. Eligible students of 3rd & 4th year sit for campus interviews that are conducted by various companies arranged by T & P Department. The department takes care and ensures interaction with the industry by arranging guest lectures and seminars. The department also arranges for vocational training for its students.
