Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar established in 1999 BY Sri Bholabhai C.Patel, chairman of Nutan Sarva Vidhyalay Kelvani Mandal-VISNAGAR with an aim of producing world class professionals in the specialized fields of Engineering and Management sciences. And Also it is approved by all India Council for technical Education AICTE (New Delhi). Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar offers different kind of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar trust has the experience of the education field of 50 years at its disposal and it is fully equipped with all infrastructure and computer facilities. Almost 60.38 acres of land has been acquired to construct various buildings for various institutions. The vidhyadham is situated near Gandhinagar-Ambaji link road in Visnagar and surrounded by Natural surrounding in the lap of nature. Buildings for Degree and Diploma Engineering, M.B.A. and M.C.A. have already been constructed and these courses have already been shifted there. The remaining colleges are operating in the Sankalchand Patel Education Complex, Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya School Campus, Visnagar and they will also be shifted in the Vidhyadham campus in due course of time.
Apart from Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar buildings there is a provision for Girls' and Boys' Hostels, Staff Quarters, Principal's Bungalow, Guest House, Sports Complex, College Canteen serving fresh and hygienic food. Once the campus is constructed fully well and the staff members and the Principal have settled in the campus, the students will study under the able guidance and fatherly care of them.
Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar has a well-furnished, spacious and rich library with a separate reading room on the second floor of the building. It provides a serene and noiseless atmosphere to students for reading and research. At present, the library stock has more than 26000 books comprising of almost 8550 titles on various subjects of engineering, business administration and computer application. In addition more than 400 no of magazines and journals are subscribed. Out of this 272 e-journals are subscribed as per INDEST-AICTE consortium scheme approved by AICTE. Free internet access facility is provided to the students. The entire collection of the library is computerized enabling issue/return function automatically by using library automation software (ALICE for windows) with barcode system. It accommodates a large well-furnished for reading and reference. Separate reading room it also provided to the students. Index boxes, computer user terminals are also available in library to search the books author-wise/ title-wise.
Canteen is a hub of students at Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar where they enjoy delicious and hygienic snacks, cold and hot drinks. The students avail of this facility from early in the morning till late in the evening. For the academic requirements of students like journals, drawing sheets, notebooks, photocopying etc., Students' store is being operated in the campus itself. This, in turn, also saves time of the students who can purchase stationery at a reasonable price.
Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar Tech-sat Hall is a spacious and airy hall with a capacity to accommodate almost 300 students. The Hall provides facility to relay various technical and non-technical programs from GUJCOST, located at Gandhinagar. Programs on T.V. as well as with the help of LCD Projectors on big screen are also arranged here. Besides, the Hall is also equipped with all the modern Audio-Visual system with telephone for a live interaction of sound.
A huge ground covering large area of the campus is available for playing outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Football and other games. Necessary arrangements for playing indoor games like Chess, Carom and Table Tennis are also made. In order to accommodate the guests visiting Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar, a separate air conditioned Guest House along with kitchen has been constructed in the campus.
At present Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar has 6 MBPS internet facility to meet the requirement of the faculty and students. Students can search their study and project work related topics and download them. Specific time slot is allocated to each batch of every branch. Internet Facility is also available at hostel in the form of Wi-Fi after College Hours.
There are two common room provided by Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – SPCE Visnagar to students. One is for boys and one is for girls. Students can go for their lunch as well as they can do their personal work in common room. Number of Over Head Projectors(OHP), Multi-media Projectors, Slide Projector, Scanner, Laser Printers, Large number of Self-learning CDs and Video Cassettes and all the software required for education purpose are available with the college.
