The Bhutta College of Engineering and Technology-BCET “ A premier Engineering and Technology institute in Punjab “ has been established in the year 2003 with great care and foresight by Keharnam Memorial Education Society (Regd.) whose primary objective is to spread quality education in Punjabis. It is located at village Bhutta in the neighborhood of Ludhiana, an industrial hub of North India and a metropolitan city of Punjab. Its location, 15 KM from Ludhiana, on Alamgir - Rara sahib road provides an easy access from various parts of the state. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education and Government of Punjab. Though the Institute is only three year old, yet it has made a name in the technical education. It is already an ISO 9001-2000 certified institute.
The splendor surroundings of the Bhutta College of Engineering and Technology-BCET spread over an area of 25 acres provides congenial environment for imparting quality education. The magnificent college building covered a carpet area of 10,000 square meters. Bhutta College of Engineering and Technology’s-BCET library is well-stocked with an extensive collection of more than 22,000 volumes and 250 national and international journals. There is an excellent facility for multimedia that keeps the students well informend with the latest technical advancement in the field of their intrest. An air-conditioned room attached to the library serves as the reading room for students.
The book section has a collection of multiple copies of textbooks. The latest books on electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Information Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and other subjects are atacked in separate shelves. Each student is entitled to issue of four books at a time. The books are issued for a fixed period or 15 days. The management of Bhutta College of Engineering and Technology-BCET has made proper arrangement for the stay of boys and girls in separate hostels. The boy's hostel is well furnished with all modern facilities such as attached bathrooms, coolers and geysers and there is a provision of generators in case of failure of eletricity. Similarly, there is a separate hostal arrangement for the girls at Vikas Nagar, in Ludhiana. The inmates of the hostel play indoor games and enjoy reading newspapers and magazines during spare time. Experienced wardens ensure the congenial atmosphere and peaceful environment through efficient management of the hostal affairs. Adequate number of buses have arranged for commuting the student from nearby cities / towns and hostels to the collage and back on co-operative basis.
